One of the best parts about a Caribbean holiday is the many tantalizing spices of their wonderful cuisine. The Caribbean food flavours are inspired by the many cultures that have immigrated to the islands over time with influences from Africa, Asia, India and Europe. One of the most notable flavours for me is that of the Jamaican Jerk Chicken which infuses tremendous spices with fruit (usually pineapple when I’ve had it) and a good portion of rice. Jerk Chicken is one of the best flavour infuses I have ever experienced. It can be quite hot though, so beware. Jamaicans in particular make this very well and once you have it there’ll be no going back. It is truly one of a kind and a true taste sensation. I can’t wait to have real jerk chicken again. Even the best jerk chicken found away from the islands just isn’t quite the same.

I love working at event venues. Events jobs are really fun to have a career. I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but seeing the final product of setting up a venue just makes me really happy. Each client has their different needs, and that keeps things interesting. It is especially great when we have to set up for hundreds of guests, because everything has to be coordinated and look pretty much the same. What people usually don’t think about is how much hard work had to go into setting up that place setting in front of them, and how much time it took. I think it is one of the most under-appreciated jobs in the world, but the pay is good, so who cares if your hard work is not recognized by some guests. I guess that they just think that the dishes and silverware magically arranged themselves!

I love to travel. I have been all over this world. I have been to Europe four times and to Asia three times. I have been to Latin America too many times to count, and I have recently been to Africa. Some of these trips have been business trips, and others were just for fun. From all of the trips that I have been to, I have a handful of experiences that I believe everyone needs to go through. One of these is a Uganda safari. It is truly incredible. You see so much wildlife right in front of your eyes. Just being in Uganda teaches you so much about the world. Going on the safari is simply breathtaking. For the whole trip, I did not know what to say. I just stared around in wonder at how beautiful it all was. Everybody should take the chance to go on one of these safaris if it is in any way possible. They will not regret going.

The trick to photographing every day items is first of all, Don’t think too hard on which items to photograph. Pick random items that you would normally never consider. You may be surprised to see the results when it is an item that you have no experience with. Pictures always convey a message and I believe that message is more natural looking when the photographer has no intimate knowledge of the item they are taking pictures of.

Try to be as random as you can when choosing an item to photograph. Last weekend I wanted to shoot something totally random and I chose to take pictures of survival knives. Just be random in your item selection and you will find the quality of your photographs will shoot up greatly.

I was like a lot of people I imagine, two words I never thought went together were golf fitness. Golf was just something I did on the weekends with my buddies and we spent most of our time puttering around in the golf cart while we tried to find where in the rough that our drives had landed.
